Lentheric Perfume
The House of Lentheric saw its beginnings at the end of the 19th Century during a period of great prosperity and growth in French history.
The founder, Guillaume Lentheric was a fashionable hairdresser who opened a salon in 1875 in Paris’s prestigious Rue St. Honore. Although he made his name as a coiffeur, Guillaume had a passionate interest in perfume. He created exclusive perfumes for his patrons, many of which were French aristocracy, and quickly recognised the value these patrons placed upon them. Their exclusivity was highly prized, and the perfumery business rapidly thrived and grew, demanding a purpose built factory and laboratory. Guillaume soon became known as a pioneer and as a master perfumer to almost every court in Europe.
During the 1920’s Lentheric extended its range to include make-up and skin care products, which were marketed by many weel known celebrities of the time.
Twelve years after the death of its founder, in 1924, Lentheric became a Societe Anonyme, a limited company expanding the scope of its business internationally.
Lentheric fragrances were a firm favourite of the late Queen Mother, and distributed exclusively at Harrods.
Growth of the House escalated during the 1930’s following the acquisition of a London Office in Bond Street. This expansion continued throughout the Second World War, as additional offices opened on Fifth Avenue, New York, and Buenos Aires.
Lentheric today, remains a synonymous name in the creation of quality fragrances, known for their sexy, bold scents, designed for sassy and smart men and women. Presently there are several fragrances for both sexes and the range is growing.
