SARAH JESSICA PARKER Perfume

Sarah Jessica Parker was born in Nelsonville, Ohio in 1965 as the fourth of 8 siblings. She grew up in relative poverty after her parents divorced and her mother re-married an unemployed 19 year old.

Parker trained as a dancer and singer from an early age, and attended the School for Creative and Performing Arts, the School of American Ballet, the Professional Children’s School, and later the Dwight Morrow High School. She appeared in a revival of the Sound of Music with 4 of her siblings, and also in the Broadway musical Annie, firstly in a minor role, and later as the lead.

She made her film debut in 1979, in Rich Kids, and went on to appear in Footloose and Girls Just Want to Have Fun. The success of these roles saw her working consistently throughout the decade, expanding into more adult roles.

Parker’s biggest break came with the role of sex columnist Carrie in HBO’s Sex and the City, for which she received an Emmy and 3 Golden Globes.

After this runaway success, Parker became influential in the world of fashion, and has appeared as the face of many of the world’s biggest brands, notably Garnier and Gap. In 2005, she launched her own fragrance, Lovely, containing a blend of rosewood, apple, bergamot and lavender scents.

In March 2007, she announced the forthcoming launch of her own fashion line, Bitten, which features hundreds of clothing items and accessories. Parker is married to actor Mathew Broderick and they have a 2 year old son named James.
