PARIS HILTON Perfume
Paris Whitney Hilton was born in 1981, daughter of Richard Hilton and therefore heir to not only the family real estate fortune, but of the Hilton Hotel chain. Her inheritance is said to be between around $30 and $50 million. By marriage, Hilton is related to Elizabeth Taylor and Zsa Zsa Gabor.
Paris went into modelling after high school joining Donald Trump’s agency at age 19. Soon she became America’s number 1 “It Girl” and socialite and was constantly appearing in tabloids around the world. Her career has also involved acting, recording an album and an autobiography, “Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose”.
Hilton’s name has appeared in fashion and design, firstly in a collection of purses for the Japanese label Samantha Thavasa, and then a jewellery line for Amazon.com.
Hilton became involved in the creation of a perfume line by Parlux Fragrances in 2004. Originally set to be a small release, demand was so high that the pre-Christmas release was followed by a 47% increase in sales for Parlux. Due to this success, Parlux has released several more fragrances with Hilton’s name, including Paris Hilton For Men aimed at her male admirers. Just Me by Paris Hilton followed and is available for both sexes. In 2006 Heir by Paris Hilton was launched, to be followed by a line of colour cosmetics, all by Parlux.
On August 29th 2006, the Mayor of Las Vegas pronounced Paris Hilton Day and gave her keys to the city. This honour involves the ceremonial presentation of an ornamental key but carries no formal privileges or distinctions and is similar to Britain’s freedom of the City award,
